Family tree growing branch by branch.

So, I have been working on me and Adrian's family trees for the past couple of days and I have managed to unearth quite a few relatives on both sides. US Census records are amazing, and as nerdy as this sound, I really can't wait for the 1940 US Census to be released in 2010.

It is quite a bizarre feeling seeing your relatives written down on paper. Seeing draft cards, and veteran listings. I am really excited to find out more about these people. The first step is finding names and birthdays, the next step is giving them a story.

I am going out to lunch with my grandma the first Monday in March and I can't wait to find out what she can tell me. I really hope that she is okay with me unearthing these things, you never know how your family might feel about you digging up family history. You never know what you might find.

I e-mailed my dad to try and set up a lunch date with him so that he can give me some family history, but I haven't received a reply yet. I'm hoping that he will agree to meet with me.

I think family history is something that everyone should look into, it is so interesting and knowing where you come from might help clarify where you are going.
